Rich Raley is the founder of Ultimate Tree and Landscapes (UTL), a full service commercial and residential landscaping business that specializes in tree and lawn care. Rich is an internationally certified ISA Arborist, which sets UTL apart from the average landscaping companies in the surrounding area. Rich was born and raised in Maryland and married his high school sweetheart Gina in 1985. Together they have raised two lovely daughters, Hannah a practicing registered nurse and Madeleine a paralegal.
On his free time Rich is an avid hiker and motorcycle rider and currently owns a Honda
NC 700 X and SV 650 Suzuki Sport Bike. Rich spent 8 years as an expert level Motorcross racer. He is an adventure seeker and enjoys challenging rides. His latest adventure is taking him to Alaska where he will ride 1885 miles through paved, dirt and gravel roads.
Rich has a heart for people and is currently serving as a deacon at Bay Area Community Church in Annapolis, MD. In 2011, his youngest daughter Madeleine was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid cancer, which then lead the Raley family to finding the Bite Me Cancer Foundation. Rich has since extended his heart to the Bite Me Cancer Foundation’s purpose to raise the spirits, hearts and funds for teen cancer patients and thyroid cancer research.
Rich’s Alaskan motorcycle adventure will be the second strenuous ride that he has converted into a fundraiser for Bite Me Cancer. He’s set a goal of raising $10k for the Bite Me Cancer Foundation and his ride happens to fall during National Cancer Survivors Day so the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Rich plans to prepare for the long trek by chasing around their new Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Bella who is full of energy and keeps him on his toes.
